Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining good relationship with existing dealers by visiting them regularly.
  • Explaining the advantages of the product to new dealers and various fabricator /discount schemes and other incentives.
  • Co-ordinating with marketing team and appoint new dealers wherever dealers not present.
  • Conducting fabricator’s meet and coordinating with marketing team in order to increase market share for the dealer.
  • Reaching the given sales target by regularly following up the dealers for orders.
  • Doing the proper due diligence before appointing a new dealers so the payment is not stopped.
  • Following with the dealersregarding overdue payments.
  • Attending quality compliance received by dealers and fabricators and take appropriate steps to satisfy the grievance of dealers/fabricators.
  • Giving proper marketing reports analyzing compotator feedbacks pricings etc. to the management.
  • Working with company branch management team in order to enhance the brand value in the market.

General Manager – Sales (Steel/Building Materials)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the General Manager of Sales, specializing in dealer-distribution network in building Materials, preferably GP pipes. This strategic leadership role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of the industry, exceptional managerial skills, and a proven track record of expanding business in the Kerala region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Regional Sales Managers and their respective Area Sales
    officers, providing guidance, motivation, and support to optimize their performance.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for business growth in the Kerala region. Develop and execute plans to expand market share and enhance the company’s presence.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key dealers, distributors, engineers,
    builders and industry influencers to drive business development and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Utilize this
    information to formulate effective sales strategies and recommendations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, supply chain
    and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing sales data to assess
    performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor sales promotion activities like influencer’s meet, fabricator’s meet and ensure
    brand schemes and policies are communicated to team.
  • Monitor daily sales figures to ensure achievement of monthly targets and report the same to the Sales Head.
  • Responsible for timely collection of outstanding dues from our customers
  • Conduct comprehensive background checks before accepting new dealers to prevent bad debts and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role within the Steel or
    Building Materials industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the business, market trends, and customer needs in the Kerala
    region.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of successful team
    development.
  • Demonstrated ability to expand business and drive revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications especially MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in sales management within the Steel or
    Building Materials industry with turnover not less than 300 Cr+
